A great user interface seamlessly connects a player to a game. That is my primary focus in life, and in my career: connection. I believe everything is connected, we are all connected to each other and to the universe itself. My superpower, is being able to illuminate that connection. Subtly bringing the player into the game through my knowledge of the human psyche, emotions, and experience. Using color, shape, movement, and design to forget an intricate connection between the player and each game I have the pleasure of working on.

KEPITHOR STUDIOS
Lead Artist at Kepithor Studios. I created and animated most of the characters in the game, rebuilt the UI, created VFX for each characters animations, and met any other art needs required for the game Kingdom Karnage, working with other artists to bring the game from a patchwork monster of game assets into what it is now.
2017 - 2022
ART BY KANDLES
Created my own business, creating and licensing video game assets of all sorts: UI, characters, backgrounds, VFX. Provided freelance art services to independent game developers. Ran all aspects of the business on my own including marketing, book keeping, organization, and customer service.
2016 - 2017
ELECTRONIC ARTS
UI Artist for the mobile game The Simpsons Tapped Out. Created art for the games icons, menus, any other UI needs. Led a seasonal update on my own. Quickly learned the complicated set of technical skills needs to implement the user interface into the game.

FREELANCE ARTIST
Began my career as a freelance artist for flash games, slowly moving into mobile and PC games.
